What is GYROTONIC®?
The GYROTONIC EXPANSION SYSTEM® goes beyond conventional strength training. GYROTONIC® training is a series of circular and fluid exercises that work the entire body through muscular, skeletal, and cardiovascular stimulation. It was developed by Juliu Horvath and is based on the principles of yoga, dance, swimming, gymnastics and Tai chi.
GYROTONIC® exercises involve circular movements with special attention paid to increasing the functional capacity of the spine in order to enhance body mechanics and create balance and alignment. The system is supported by specially designed equipment that uses weights and pulleys to provide resistance.
GYROTONIC® is the perfect workout for golfers, dancers, athletes, individuals in need of rehabilitation. As well as general conditioning amongst people of all walks of life, as it combines strength, stretch, flexibility, mobility, coordination, and balance in one session.

What is GYROKINESIS®?
GYROKINESIS® exercises allow one to work on the entire body through seven natural elements of spinal movement: forward, backward, left side, right side, left twist, right twist and circular, as well as all other joint articulation.
This approach systematically and gently works the joints and muscles through rhythmic and undulating movements. These movements stimulate the body's internal organs while different corresponding breathing patterns are integrated along with the movements. Fluidity is the key. Postures are not held for long periods of time. Instead, postures are smoothly and harmoniously connected through the use of breath, making exercises appear and feel more like a dance and swimming than like traditional yoga.
The more advanced classes offer endurance training to participants prepared for more strenuous activities. All GYROKINESIS® classes, from beginner to advanced, encompass not only sitting but also standing and lying down.
